Around The World On A Motorcycle

Check out Rene’s interview on his four year long around the world on a motorcycle adventure. We met Rene in South America when he was still in the “early” stage of his trip, as in about a little over a year in. 😉 He went on to travel for four years, wrote a book with the most awesome title The University of Gravel Roads: Global Lessons from a Four-Year Motorcycle Adventure and started his own guided African motorcycle tour company. His story is awesome and inspiring and he did his trip on a budget of 25 dollars a day, proving you do not need to be rich to do these trips!

About Sherrie

Sherrie was born and raised in Newfoundland, has her home base in Germany, and at any given time can be found just about anywhere in the world. Addicted to books, travel, chocolate and motorcycles, a perfect day for her is riding her bike followed by drinking good coffee and reading a good book or writing one.

We had the pleasure of hosting Rene and his family while they were in northern California last week. A great story indeed and some of the nicest people we’ve met. My wife, myself, and our 11 year old son are departing in the near future for a year long trip to central and south America. Looking forward to reading more about your travels.

I have not met Rene’s family but I would assume they are awesome given how cool of a guy Rene is! I see you’re a fellow Jupiter’s traveller! I will definitely be following your blog. When our daughter is older we hope to start travelling by motorbike again. Until then we are thinking about sailing!
